Last Days of School/Moving Up
As you are aware, the last day of “school” for CSH will be on June 17. Sixth Grade Families, we will be celebrating your “Moving Up” on Tuesday, June 16. Please save the date. I will send out a letter early next week.
We are also working on an opportunity for our LH families (all grades) to “drive by” so we can wish you a wonderful summer! We will send information on that event once it becomes available.
Poster Contest Recognition
This year Adeline Rodriguez (grade 4) was the representative for Lloyd Harbor's AATSP Poster Contest. She placed 2nd in her age group amongst students from around the nation. Congratulations to Adeline! Her poster will be featured on the 2020-2021 FLES folder! Reminder: Retrieval of Student Belongings
Attached is the letter that was previously sent to serve as a reminder of next week’s schedule. Parent Letter and Schedule (also posted under Attachments/Links from the School)
Reminder: Rainbow Project (from Student Council)
Attention, LH students! It’s not too late! We are still accepting pictures of your beautiful rainbow creations to help bring us together and support our community. Memorial Day weekend is the perfect time to show us your true patriotic spirit. So grab your chalk, paper, markers or crayons and make some rainbows. After you’ve finished, please email a photo of you and your rainbow creation to Ms. Rampi (firstname.lastname@example.org) by May 29th. She will help us put together a slideshow which will then be shared with all LHS families.
NOTES FROM THE PTG
"LHS STRONG" Lawn Signs
In an effort to show our continued support for our school and for each other, the LHS PTG has purchased "LHS STRONG" lawn signs for every family in Lloyd Harbor School. We will be distributing these signs next week while you are at the school picking up your child's belongings. We hope you enjoy this gift from the LHS PTG.
LHS School Directory 2020-2021
The LHS PTG has started working on the directory for the next school year. Please review the current directory and verify that all of your information is correct. If you would like to make any changes, please email Lisa Lesser at email@example.com.
Empty Bowls Event 2020
On March 11, 2020, Mrs. McLam, with the help of the LHS PTG, organized the annual Empty Bowls Event, which was a huge success! All attendees enjoyed delicious soups, rolls, and a sweet treat while viewing beautiful handmade bowls by our very own LHS students! That evening over $1600 was collected and then donated to the Helping Hands Rescue Mission in Huntington Station! Thank you to all who attended and donated their time and efforts! A special thank you to Gerri Tiger and her wonderful team in helping serve and clean up after the event. Attached please find the thank you letter we received from Helping Hands. Thank You Letter
