NOTES FROM OUR SCHOOL
Fall Festival at LHS
We are pleased to announce the return of the Annual LHS Fall Festival.
Please see the attached letter for information. Fall Festival Information
Mask Guidelines
In order to comply with health and safety measures, it is crucial for children to be wearing clean masks. Please also make sure that the mask your child is wearing is an appropriate size. They must be fitted, covering the mouth and the nose, and adhere to the guidelines found in this document Health and Safety Documents.
Morning Student Drop-Offs
In order to keep morning arrival quick and orderly, we ask that you please make sure your child is fully prepared to exit the car when entering the circle. Masks should be on, book bags should be packed up, and electronic devices should be away. We have many more cars now, and in order to have a timely arrival we ask for your cooperation.
Dismissal Information
As we transition to the return of our full student body, it is vital that Dismissal Plans remain consistent. We cannot accommodate any changes. Please understand that this is for everyone’s safety.
If a child rides the bus, then he/she will always ride the bus - 5 days per week.
If a child is a pick-up/walker, then he/she will always be a pick up/walker - 5 days per week. If a child is a pickup/walker, and needs to be picked up by someone other than his/her usual ride, a note must be sent to the homeroom teacher in the morning.
Safety Drills Continue
This week we hope to have our first Lock Down Drill. Due to our current situation, the lock down will be done in an instructional manner to maintain social distancing. The modifications will simply include a discussion of the procedures that would occur in an actual emergency.
REMINDER: Daily Health Check
The CSH Health Questionnaire must be completed by 8:00 AM. This should become part of your daily morning routine and is necessary for a smooth transition in our morning procedures.
REMINDER: Bus Routes
Updates and adjustments to bus routes and pick-up times will be uploaded to the parent portal tonight after 5 p.m. Log onto the Parent Portal and check the “Buses” tab for each of your children to view the changes.
REMINDER: Snack in the Classroom
We kindly ask that you keep your child’s snack simple. It should be something that is easy to eat. This will help us maintain a short and safe snack period.
REMINDER: Music Notes
If you are interested in seeing Mr. Chiarello’s presentation from the LHS Instrumental Music Meeting that occurred last month, it is posted on our website: Go to the CSH website… click on Lloyd Harbor… click on Music on the side bar. https://www.csh.k12.ny.us/Page/625
REMINDER: LHS Musical
The LH Grade 5/6 musical date has been changed from November 19-20 to February 12-13. More logistical information will be sent out soon by our director, Mr. McKee.
